National Volunteer Week
April 21 - April 27
Celebrate National Volunteer Week by joining Wildlife Rescue Team! We cannot do what we do without all of the wonderful volunteers in our organization. A big thank you goes out to all of our rehabbers, who help us care for and transport wildlife, and to our donors, who assist us in paying vet bills and purchasing the food and supplies that are needed every year to care for wildlife.
All On-Call volunteers are available from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. seven days a week, including all holidays. The Hotline Number is a 24 hour answering service available for after hours, to take messages. There are some volunteers that are available for after-hours care, depending on the type of animal.
During the spring and summer months our volunteers are very busy with animal care. If there is any way you can transport the animal to a WRT member, it would be very helpful and much appreciated. The on-call person can direct you to the closest WRT volunteer available based on your location.
If you have any questions or concerns about injured or orphaned wildlife, please call the Hotline at (402) 473-1951.
